30th July - 1st August 2021 GGUT The Großglockner Ultra Trail

Participants taking on the GGUT trailrun challenge can look forward to more than 110km of fantastic trails and over 6,500 vertical metres of ascent along some of the best routes in the region around Austria's highest mountain, the Großglockner. Cheer on the athletes in the Hohe Tauern National Park, just a few minutes from the TAUERN SPA in Kaprun.

29th August 2021 Ironman 70.3 Triathlon Highlight

The Ironman 70.3 is one of the most spectacular triathlon races in Europe. The TAUERN SPA is one of the official partner hotels of the Ironman 70.3 in Zell am See-Kaprun. Visitors can watch the athletes in action as they swim, bike and run their way around the Salzburger Land region. The Ironman 70.3 also features an expo showcasing the latest triathlon products as well as plenty of side events for all the family.

May - October Zeller Seezauber Spectacular show

Every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 10.00 pm (09.00 pm in September & October) visitors to the region can enjoy a spectacular water and light show set to music on the lake Zell. From mid-May until mid-October this eye-catching highlight is one of the most popular attractions in Zell am See - Kaprun

End of August - Beginning of November 'Bauernherbst' Taste the region

The period between August and October is known in the Salzburger Land region as a time of customs, traditions and fine food. Highlights include the ceremonial cattle drives bringing the cows down from the high pastures where they have spent the summer, farmers' markets and plenty of other opportunities to sample some of the region's culinary creations.

November 2021 WOW Glacier Love Winter opening party

Every year, Zell am See-Kaprun welcomes the winter with a "WOW“. This event on the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier takes place in early November and marks the official opening of the ski season. Live music, parties, ski and snowboard tests and much more await visitors. A great way to welcome the winter!

December Christmas market In Zell am See-Kaprun

There are few things more enchanting than advent in Zell am See-Kaprun. The local Christmas market is a charming addition to the centre of the village and has a number of traditional stands selling everything from freshly baked biscuits to roasted chestnuts. Don't miss out if you are in the region between late November and late December.
